Who is OBH?
The founder of Owner Builder Helper is a General Contractor with over 30 years of experience. In this
ever changing market we are seeing a lot more people taking the initiative to do their projects themselves. We are excited that so many people want to do their projects themselves and we feel this is great because people doing things for themselves is at the very heart of the American Dream. OBH wants to see the quality of construction stay high and, in pursuing this goal, we are offering our services to those who want a superior product but don’t want to pay the hefty expense of a contractor.

When is a good time to seek the services of OBH?
OBH’s services are designed to be effective at any part of the building project. We can help you get started by consulting you on what you need, what needs to be approved and by whom, and what permits are going to be needed. We can also design complete custom homes for you as well. You will know you’re getting the best designs on the market. We also offer material estimates so you can be sure you’ve got all the materials on the job site that you will need. You will be able to plan your finances without getting hit with a big expense because something was missed in the order. Our PCS Pre-construction Service pack will give you all the contracts you need for sub-contractors so that you are assured you will get what the sub has agreed to. And finally, our one-on-one consulting can be used any stage in the project.

Where is a good location to use OBH?
OBH is not subjugated to one particular place in the country. We can be of service to any one of the
Fifty States of America. How? Our 30 years of experience has taken us through building in the northern parts of Montana down to the southern parts of California and across the nation to Tennessee. We know the laws in building across the nation and can give direction to any who are seeking help. We will make sure that our advice and our services match those needed in any particular area. We work hard to keep up to date on all the building codes in North America.

Can’t I just use one of your services?
Yes! You can use one or as many services as you want, as many times as you want. OBH is here to serve you. We want to give you the best customer service that you can receive. In so doing, we have made our services completely adaptable to your needs. If you just need a design, or if you just want a little bit of consulting, we will supply our services to you in whichever way will be most beneficial to you.

What are all the pages included in your Design Service?
OBH Design Services include each of these by separate pages: Front, Back, Left and Right Elevations; First, Second and any other additional floor plans; Basement Framing Plan; First and Second Floor Joist; Foundation; Ceiling Joist; First and Second Floor Electrical; Basement Electrical; Title Sheet/ Index to Drawings; Site Plan; Specs & Construction Notes; Building Sections. All pages are separated to give the best and easiest reading of the entire plan.

Are you Engineers?
No, we are not engineers. We can, however, supply additional drawings that include the structural
portions for the design. This may include the ShearWall plan, Roof Framing and Structural Details. However, if required, you will still have to get an engineer to stamp the plans. Having us do the structural may save you some money on the engineer.
